One large plastic mixing bowl
One metal tea tray
A set of measuring spoons
A funnel
A few hand fulls of rice (failed Mummy didn't dye it rainbow colours first!)

And of course, one curious little toddler...

  1. Thanks for sharing such a simple but interesting idea. My little man will love this - going to definitely do this with him tomorrow.

  5. We do this occasionally...using different sized spoons to fill funnels, jugs and mugs etc for pouring. Great fun for them and works on the patio with water too.

    Gosh he is growing so very quickly {{x}}

  7. Hoover! I always giggle at that word. I have a few English friends and they still say it, despite their now Aussie-ness!
    And excuse me, but when did he go and get so big all of a sudden! And he's still so adorable.

  8. He's so lovely. And so big. That seemed to happen all of a sudden! Jessica loved this sort of stuff, pasta, rice, lentils and so on. Reuben just wants to make a meal of it and stuff it all into his mouth, I've got a lovely box of dyed pasta (also have never done rice, after the pasta experiment NEVER again!) but I'm worried he is going to gobble it up. Perhaps he just needs to be a little older? Ernest is actually quite a bit older isn't he? I just always think of him about the same age as Reuben as they are both very fair and have 'very tiny hair' as Jessica calls it!

  9. Woah! I just checked when Ernest was born and he is nearly a whole year older than Reuben! Ooops, bad pushy mother :(
    Can't believe Ernest was born in 2010! It only seems like a year ago at most! Argh!
